This bowl is in my new collection: Swirling Muddy River Pottery 

When naming this collection I sat and looked at the vase that I made for 2 weeks and it reminded me of the pool of water at the bottom of a waterfall after a large rain when the water is very forceful, muddy and swirling, similar to a whirlpool.

My process in achieving multi colors is not by throwing with multiple clays, such as the Agateware technique, but by using multiple slips. 

Not all of the pottery in this collection will have the same look, but it will have the same colors. 

With this change in my work, I hope that people can see a bit of ancient as well as contemporary work.
